Account Manager Experience (Years): 2 Overview: Account Manager Arrow Electronics, Inc. Chicago, IL At present, we have an excellent opportunity in our Power & Signal Group for an Account Manager in the Chicago, IL area. Power & Signal Group is the worldwide resource for connection systems products, sensors and related components. As a strategic distributor for the Automotive/ Transportation industry, the Power and Signal group and Arrow supplies a complete line of high performance connection and wiring system components. This key player will increase sales and design opportunities by understanding the customer technical needs, design process, procedures, and managing these issues within the customer structure. He/She will also be responsible for identifying and developing growth opportunities in our current customer base with new products and technology, in addition to cultivating new customer relationships within an assigned territory. Responsibilities also include qualifying new industries/customers for potential application of current Power & Signal Group components. He/She will also manage relationships with key customers, a division workload and support from all other PSG and Supplier sources. The Account Manager will also manage timing and introduction of any and all new products customer systems, and ensure PSG and its suppliers can support. The Account Manager will also assist customers with understanding of its suppliers products technology by coordinating presentations and will also attend its suppliers' training in efforts to stay abreast of component technology, as well as completion. Travel will be approx. 50% and the candidate will work from a home office in the Chicago area. . JOB QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Engineering degree a plus. -Minimum 2-3years related experience. -Must be experienced in selling electrical harnesses and connectors. -Engineering experience in Automotive/Transportation industry preferred, including a mechanical aptitude -Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings -Uphold confidentiality -Must obtain and stay current with industry specific certifications -Possesses proficient PC skills with Microsoft Office, database and communications software -Must be a dynamic salesperson with excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, goal orientation and strategic thinking ability is desired. -Knowledge of the electronic component and or connection systems industry a plus.
