AV Project Engineer Coordinate and oversee installation of advanced audioVisual projects. Provide system design and budgeting support to help obtain contractsInvolved in the detailed and technical AV engineering of already-secured contracts/bids. Directly supports installation crews & project teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Review resources needed to complete projects - Submit job site visit reports - Documentation of installation job progression - Communicate needs for additional staffing requirements - Inventory accountability - Coordination of on-site activities for assigned projects - Approval and coordination with purchasing - Perform site visits prior to the initiation of the project - Serve as AVI's interface with client; responsible for communications with client and subcontractors. - Assist with project design when necessary - Travel is required - Conduct regular project site visits - Conduct regular project team meetings - Develop effective communication - Coordinate efforts needed to complete projects - Proficient in all installation techniques; WHAT WE EXPECT: Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred; CTS should be attained.Five or more years Management/Supervisor experience Proficiency with AV installation techniques - Knowledgeable in use and integration of AV equipment Proven proficiency in Windows: Word, Outlook, Excel must be good friends. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2. AV PROJECT MANAGER is responsible that all audio visual systems installations projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, safely, by…..- Scheduling, managing, & coordinating the available labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, weather, technical expertise & the calendar. Will perform site visits in the pre-planning phase. - Manage the day-to-day operations of all assigned projects. Communicate in advance additional staffing requirements. Coordinate & approve equipment & product needs with Purchasing.- Employing excellent communication channels & effective interaction with Sales, the Client, Installation Teams & Management. Conduct regular team meetings. Travel is required- effectively interact with multiple unionized construction trades- Documenting every aspect of the project’s progress including the creation of change orders, logistics, & events, - Obtaining all necessary Installation Team travel arrangements for out-of-town projects; obtain required rental equipment.- Obtaining Final Sign-Off’s at project completion. What we expect Strong Project Management experience – Pre-Planning to Closeout –- An exceptional financial, budgeting, & scheduling background is desired! - CTS would be preferred.- Ideal candidate will have experience with building structures, codes, construction processes; will be a detailed thinker, a “worst-case-scenario” person always planning alternative solutions, and has impressive Time Management skills.- Our top candidate will be a leader, a professional communicator, highly effective at meeting deadlines, and is very comfortable making decisions & initiating action.- Selected individual will be a hands-on person ... out in the field …..
