ASIC Physical Design Engineer / 08-10079

Our chip design group supports two of the four lines of business within the Wireless Connectivity Business Unit. We are working on exciting SOC's in the cutting edge fields of mobile TV (television on your cell phone or laptop) and VoIP, as well as others. Our group is still relatively small, but growing quickly. If you prefer a group with a small company feeling, but the stability of a market leading company, then join our group and make a real impact to our projects!The candidate will own any part of the process from netlist handoff to tapeout: floorplanning, place and route, timing closure, and physical verification. Verify effects of crosstalk and electromigration. Support ASIC die size estimation studies and resource and schedule planning. Experience with RTL to GDS flows a plus. Candidate should be comfortable writing scripts in TCL and Perl to achieve higher performance and productivity through automation. BSEE with 8+ (or MSEE with 6+) years related experience. Experience with Magma tools highly desirable.
