ANTENNA ENGINEER  Job Description: Our client has an urgent need for an ANTENNA ENGINEER.SUMMARY: Responsible for designing, developing, simulating, bench testing, modifying, antennas including antenna/SAR/ESD product development, advanced product development and research in the Electromagnetics area. May perform as the Lead hardware engineer managing the development of antenna hardware on CDMA handsets. Cross-functional interaction which requires excellent written and oral communication skills. Having wide-ranging experience uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. REQUIREMENTS: -Bachelor degree in Electronics or equivalent experience, Masters degree preferred -8+ years of experience with 5 years in mobile device design -Proven technical leadership record in transceiver design and integration with good understanding of antenna design requirements for high volume handsets -Prior experience in leading a team of engineers on a relevant design project, and optimizing radiated performance of a portable radio system -Knowledge of either: CDMA, AMPS, GSM or GPS RF circuits, subsystems, and test equipment -Strong RF subsystem, circuit analysis, and optimization skills -Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong knowledge of test equipment -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Excellent presentation skills and ability to multi task KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Manages each phase of CDMA mobile hardware development from concept through delivery -Effectively communicates the plans, schedules, and status to PE and other team members -Anticipates, identifies and solves hardware engineering issues -Writes and/or implements tests and simulation plans. Develops test procedures and design documentation -Independently debugs and integrates analog and digital circuits -Coordinates with other engineering groups including CAD, Configuration Management, Manufacturing, Test Engineering, Software and Systems -Under the direction of project leads, performs tradeoff studies involved with modifying/optimizing current products and/or manufacturing processes -Performs qualification and integration testing of recently redesigned circuit cards, modules, and/or components; and evaluates performance against predicted results and documents the test results -Write designs and/or manufacturing documentation and presents at design and/or product reviews -Responsible for layout reviews -Develops and/or supports high-efficiency power supply circuits including battery charging, power regulation, and power management circuits -Responsible for schematic captures -Performs other duties as assigned PROBLEM SOLVING: -Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors -Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results -Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS: -Work in an office environment -May require some travel Required Skills: CDMA KNOWLEDGE, CDMA WIRELESS, WIRELESS TESTJoin Aerotek CESM, one of the leading providers of engineering and engineering support professionals in North America.
