Youth Enrichment Coordinator

The Youth Worker is responsible for facilitating a broad range of psycho-educational and recreational activities for community youths in collaboration with Program Coordinator, Peer Leaders and other staff.

 

Job Responsibilities/Performance Expectations (include all supervisory responsibilities, scope of responsibilities and detailed description of major responsibilities and duties of the position):

 

·  Organizes and train peers to present workshops, seminars and outreach presentations.

·  Work with peer leaders and staff to develop a youth advisory council that will provide leadership and shape the direction of the Teen Center’s mission, goals and program development.

·  Will actively participate in area youth coalitions and collaborate whenever possible with other youth services providers.

·  Transports youth to and from designated youth events.

·  Builds community relationships with residents, merchants, courts, schools, police and other community agencies and provides leadership, guidance and advocacy to them around youth issues.

·  Develop linkages with other community based agencies and resources throughout the city.

·  Participate in all in-service training opportunities and attend weekly supervision and staff meeting.
