The Web developer/programmer builds and maintains fully functional standards-compliant Web sites and e-newsletters as a member of UMC's Web team. The developer/programmer works collaboratively with Web producers, designers, and supervisors to build sites and e-newsletters for University schools, departments, and administrative units. Sites are built with information architecture plans, graphic design materials, and a variety of forms of content. The developer programmer must be proficient in building sites with XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, MySQL, PHP, and Javascript. Incumbent must also have experience with basic search engine optimization techniques, HTML-based e-mail, information architecture, and Web design concepts.
