Ultrasound – Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Clinical Coordinator


 

 

 

Career College of America San Bernardino campus is seeking a registered sonographer to join an expanding Ultrasound training program as the clinical coordinator and faculty member.  This is an excellent opportunity to utilize knowledge, experience, and skills in an educational environment while maintaining a close connection with the sonography community.  Our strong reputation in the medical field gives our staff and students a sense of pride to be associated with CCA. 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications: Health professions educators at CCA must be currently credentialed in their respective health profession, have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the field and have a desire to help teach or train students.

 

 Primary Responsibilities:Acquiring and developing sites for clinical, externships, and placement of students.Assist in arranging clinical/externship experiences for studentsCoordinate the requirements of the clinical/externship with the guidelines of the facilityAssist in scheduling specific assignments/rotations for students Monitor the clinical/externship assignments of studentsAssess the progress of students through the use of prepared check sheetsObtain feedback and evaluations of students staff members at the clinical/externship siteMaintain student records, including attendance records and progress notes

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Three years experience in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound.   ARDMS registered.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with people from a variety of economic and cultural backgrounds. Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
