USA jobs: Operational Excellence Lead
Leads the Operational Excellence platform for Global Facilities and provides support to the head of its business unit. Works closely with key partners (e.g. IT, Procurement, HR) to align business practices, provide data and evaluate metrics.
Job Duties:
Provides strategic support to its business unit by assisting in the development and implementation of strategies into actionable results, conducting business analytics, developing and prioritizing recommendations and managing the preparation and presentation of all reporting mechanisms while simultaneously ensuring business unit alignment with corporation, key sister groups
Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating and reporting outcomes
Defines key performance indicators and targets, tracks and populates scorecard for business unit and communicate results to increase performance visibility and identify improvement opportunities
Provides operational performance support to business unit leader by working closely with Finance to set and meet budge and unit cost targets: responsible for all analytical reporting, status reporting, internal and external benchmarking.
Drive communication strategy and communications across business unit
Oversees and assists sites within business unit, as appropriate, to measure, report and improve quality of service delivery; analyzing customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
Works closely with HR to establish, sequence and coordinate appropriate people related activities (e.g. key talent programs, succession planning, promotion and performance discussions)
Manages portfolio relationship with key external service providers / strategic partners
Establish and execute all related planning and activities associated with business unit leadership team and associate meetings.
Leads team of business managers / analysts, as appropriate, across business unit. Coordinate activities to support leadership team objectives
Minimum requirements Fluent English (written and oral)
7+ years in the pharmaceutical industry
Proven leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry of which 2+ yrs in a management and/or team leadership role
Must be able to organize, prioritize and work effectively in a constantly changing environment and to motivate a team to do the same.
Extensive knowledge of Facilities Management processes; demonstrated success in planning and executing global programs; successful work in cross-functional teams and management of projects
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills
Strong personal integrity, teamwork abilities and customer focus
Experience in consulting and change management would be a decided plus.
Educational Background
Minimum: Bachelor's degree or related equivalent experience
Masters degree in Business Management or similar graduate degree desired.
