UBAM -- College Campus Chair
This position is accountable for the overall campus management of the respective Academic Affairs program(s). Ensures the quality and integrity of the program(s) at new and existing campuses and learning centers.Requirements: Master's or doctorate degree, as noted below, in respective academic program or related field required. Must have proven experience in a field related to the content of the academic program.Proven experience in teaching and/or administration at a regionally accredited college or university preferred. Familiarity with adult education experience preferred.Demonstrated evidence of skill in operations systems management.Must be able to demonstrate a high level of problem solving and decision-making abilities to respond to student issues and concerns, evaluate students for retention, and counsel them into other University programs as necessary.Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate with students, faculty, employees, and external parties as it relates to the management of the respective campus Academic Affairs program.Must possess the ability to convey a professional image, as well as effectively represent the organization as appropriate in its relationship with the community.Other education and experience requirements from respective programs include:College of Health and Human Services:Programs in Criminal Justice - Master's degree in Criminal Justice Studies required. Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in adult education. Proven experience in the administration of criminal justice programs including policing, courts, corrections, or military operations.Programs in Counseling and Human Services: Doctorate in Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, or Psychology. Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in adult education. Proven experience in the practice of counseling, managing counseling agencies, or administering academic programs. Clinical supervision experience required.Programs in Nursing and Health Sciences - Master's degree in nursing required. Doctorate in health-related area preferred. Minimum of five (5) years combined recent working experience in healthcare departments, student recruitment, counseling, education and project quality assurance counseling and eductional and project u and nursing education preferred. Proven experience in managing healthcare departments, student recruitment, counseling, and educational and project quality assurance counseling preferred.College of Education - Doctoral degree in Education required. Minimum of five (5) years combined recent working experience in P-12 education required. Experience as a P-12 administrator is preferred, or a combination of P-12 experience and experience in higher education in a school or college of education, students recruitment, counseling, and educational and project quality assurance counseling, and educational and project quality assurance preferred.College of General and Professional Studies - Master's degree in a liberal arts area. A master's degree in higher education is acceptable as long as candidate has strong liberal arts undergraduate degree and experience. Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at the college/university level, preferably in an adult program. Must be approved to teach in three (3) or more courses offered by the School of General Studies.College of Information Systems and Technology - Master's degree required. Minimum of five (5) years recent working experience in business information systems and technology. Must be approved to teach in one or more courses offered by the School of Information Systems and Technology.College of Social and Behavioral Sciences - Doctorate in Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, Psychology, or field related to Criminal Justice Studies required. Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in adult education. Proven experience in the practice of counseling, managing counseling agencies, or administering academic programs. Clinical supervision experience required.College of Undergraduate Business and Management - Doctoral degree preferred. Minimum of five (5) years recent working experience in business or related field; a minimum of two (2) years significant experience in teaching, business administration or administration at a college/university level. Knowledge of adult education principles/practices, curriculum development, and academic content area.College of Graduate Business and Management - Doctoral degree required. Minimum of five (5) years recent working experience in business or related field; a minimum of two (2) years significant experience in teaching, business administration or administration at a college/university level. Knowledge of adult education principles/practices, curriculum development, and academic content area.
