Training Manager

The Mergis group, a division of Spherion Corporation is assisting a client in identifying a Training Manager. Responsibilities:  Ensure that programs are implemented in alignment with operating objectives and training plans to meet short and long term goals, coordinating the learning process and creating a positive learning environment.   Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Collection Training Lecture on the specifics of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, state regulations, and other compliance requirements Facilitate Professional Collection Specialist training and certification Corporate Training Identify training needs in other areas of the company; work with department leaders to fulfill those needs Conduct RightFax, Filebound, Defibrillator and other sessions as necessary; work with Human Resources to identify subject matter Maintain a positive Training presence Budget Consider cost of training programs and stay within budget Staff Manage Training Assistants and their responsibilities Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations when necessary Supervise the Mentor Program Coordinate Staff Meetings Development Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs using various methods applicable to the position and/or department; schedule off-site trainings when necessary Design and develop training materials, instructor guides, manuals, training aids, E-learning, web-based, self-directed programs, as well as evaluation/assessment materials Facilitate Management and Leadership Training, including cross-functional training Confer with management to identify training needs Develop and present offsite client trainings Documentation and Follow Up Monitor effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations as necessary Oversee Quality Assurance program to ensure compliance requirements are being met and review trends to determine training needs Maintain records of training activities & attendance.  Monitor employee progress Implement policy and procedural changes Miscellaneous Assist in recruiting efforts such as develop recruiting materials, attend recruiting events and screen potential applicants.  Provide feedback to Human Resources Assist with monthly newsletter when necessaryQualifications:Required: 2 years previous classroom training experience required, call center training experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills Work well with diverse personalities and situations Work effectively in both team and independent environments   Qualified candidates please email resumes directly to kelliperfetti@mergisgroup.com     Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
