Technical Writer

Summary: Reporting to the Instructional Design Manager, the Technical Writer will research, write and edit online courses for a dynamic e-learning company.  Through collaboration with other team members, develop and provide recommendations for essential content, adherence to compliance standards, language and editorial consistency as well as animations, graphics, and activities to enhance learning.  Contribute to the development and implementation of sound workplace practices that facilitate communications among workers and with clients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Research, write and edit content for instructional materialsOrganize research information and maintain a database of technical informationCommunicate frequently and effectively with project team to ensure that goals and objectives are being fulfilledProvide periodic reports on course and development projectsWork on a team of writers under the guidance of an instructional designer

Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in education, journalism, English technical communications, English, or related field.  Experience in adult education or e-learning preferred.
