Duties And Responsibilities: **IMPORTANT** This is a 15-month full time, benefit eligible position. See application requirements below. The Office of Administrative Systems (OAS) is seeking an individual to serve as a Technical Project Manager. Reporting to the Common Alumni Affairs and Development System (CAADS) Practice Manager, this individual will be an integral part of the management team tasked with the successful delivery of this initiative, incl day to day management of their work, managing multiple technical tracks of the project requiring Harvard resources. Project is a partnership with Harvard and a third-party integrator for the redesign and deployment of Harvard's alumni portal, Post.Harvard. Web Portal project is a high profile, mission critical University priority. This position will participate in an enterprise SharePoint implementation with ~900 administrative users within HAA and AA&D offices. This best-in-class site will provide Web 2.0 functionality and University-wide online programming to Harvard's 330,000+ alumni world-wide. Responsibilities: Serve as primary technical liaison between project team and customers, vendors and Harvard internal service providers; Validate system architecture with third-party integrator and internal resources; Identify server storage requirements all resources, both for go-live and post-production; Manage hardware/software procurement; Oversee hardware/software setup, implementation and testing across multiple environments; Ensure hardware and software configs for compliance to Enterprise Security Policy; Provide business continuity planning capabilities; Participate in design of authentication and authorization process, credit card processing systems design and serve as liaison with Risk Management and Cash Management offices to ensure PCI and Harvard policy compliance; Assist with planning/execution of data migration from current website, Participate in design of system interfaces between website and Advance database; Contribute to design of formalized software release mgmt process. Will be responsible for development of estimates, plans, risk mitigation and communications related to all Harvard owned technical aspects of project. Individual will meet with customers, vendors and internal service providers to help define requirements and technical solutions. Will then be responsible for managing the identified tasks, timelines, risks and communications. Please note this is a 15-month Term position.

Basic Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency in management of multiple large scale Web development projects is a must.

Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including AD and SQL Server, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007), Experience with agile development methodologies, working in higher education and/or non-profit, and managing the development of Web portals. Min 7 years as a technical lead and/or project manager, demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft technologies including AD and SQL Server, experience in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007), Oracle knowledge
