Teaching Assistant/Technical Support - Level II
Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) is an 800 student, public, fully accredited four-year college located in the small coastal village of Castine, Maine. The college is one of six state-supported Maritime Colleges in the United States. MMA is a college of engineering, transportation, management, ocean sciences and international business. Maine Maritime Academy currently seeks to fill the following position:

Teaching Assistant/Technical Support – Level II Â
Â
The Department of Engineering is seeking candidates who will support faculty in teaching lab
courses and will be responsible for maintenance and operation of Engineering Department
laboratory equipment. Lab equipment includes fluid systems, turbines, heat exchangers,
materials testing equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisitions systems. Applicants should
have a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Engineering
Technology or Engineering Operations and/or appropriate and relevant professional experience and
 qualifications. Prior college-level teaching experience, a marine or stationary engineer’s license,
and/or work experience in the marine or power industry preferred. Full-time, 9 ½ month staff position
beginning in the Fall, 2008 semester. Pay Range Level II - 20, 9 ½ months $31,975.05.
