Newton Community Service Center, a non-profit human service agency in West Newton, seeks qualified candidates for full-time Teacher and Lead Teacher positions in our Early Education & Care Preschool and Infant Toddler programs. NCSC's Early Education & Care program is part of a larger human service agency which provides a wide range of supportive and educational services to children and their families. Our NAEYC accredited program is diverse, exciting and a wonderful environment for children, families and staff. NCSC greatly values a strong focus on social/emotional growth and development and partnering with families. Our staff is our greatest resource.   Â
The Teacher takes an active role in the day to day operation of the classroom through planning, teaching, and communicating with staff members, children, and families. The teacher is responsible for either opening or closing the classroom on a daily basis. The Lead Teacher has overall responsibility for the operation of his/her classroom. Leadership and focus for the team, mentoring for teachers and assistant teachers in the classroom, and modeling communication with families are all components of the Lead Teacher’s position. NCSC seeks applicants who are excited about working with children and parents. The ideal candidate possesses a warm outgoing personality, a sense of humor, emotional maturity, physical stamina, the ability to work cooperatively with others, a sense of innovation, creativity, and an appreciation for others. QUALIFICATIONS
 EEC Teacher/Lead Teacher qualified Have an Associates (minimum) or Bachelors Degree (preferred) in Early Education or a related field Strong team player Excellent communication skills Excellent leadership skills
