Surgical Technology Instructor Job Description Surgical Technology Instructor- Classroom and Lab Sanford Brown College, a nationwide dynamic educational services company committed to quality, career focused learning, is seeking a Surgical Technology Instructor for the classroom and lab at our Houston location. General Purpose: To provide & sustain an effective learning environment for every student via well prepared classes, relevant assignments, assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress, & support of academic initiatives. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Teach assigned courses * Provide all necessary documentation for students * Adequately prepare all course materials & lessons * Provide each student clear course expectations, evaluations & timelines through a written syllabus * Identify & refer at risk students to specific academic support services * Work with each student through their didactic & lab skills learning process Skills: * Documented expertise as a surgical technologist * Expertise in interpersonal & oral presentation/written communication skills * Effective operating room i.e. surgical technology, communication, and marketing skills. Experience: * Candidate should be a Certified Surgical Technologist; * Must possess 3-5 years of previous surgical technology experience * Previous teaching experience preferred.
