Responsibilities

The Student Services and Data Manager will provide support to co-op coordinators in two key areas. 1. Preparation of students for co-op - Advise students individually and in-groups on the following: resume writing, interviewing techniques, co-op technology and job search methods and strategies. Develop and conduct student workshops on resume writing, interviewing techniques. Conduct industry and market research in order to help students maximize their competitiveness in ever-changing marketplace. Assist co-op coordinator(s) with the day-to-day workflow of preparing students for co-op placements, including responding to student questions, assisting in compiling data, information and reports. 2. Data Management & Operations - Maintain relevant databases, prepare reports, compile data and remain current in the use of technology. Coordinate the submission of jobs and assist in maintaining the integrity of data in various co-op systems.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required. He/she must have a minimum of two to three years professional work experience in higher education and/or business setting. He/she must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. He/she must have strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and complete tasks for a number of different people. He/she will work independently and as a member of a team. He/she must have proven experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases. He/she must have experience working in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
