Student Assistance Program Counselor

RUTLAND WINDSOR SUPERVISORY UNION Student Assistance Program Counselor 2008-2009 School Year Black River High School is seeking a .40 FTE Student Assistance Program Counselor to provide services to high school students for matters relating to substance abuse. This position would work within the guidelines of the Vermont Department of Health. Must have Apprentice Substance Abuse Counselor (ASAC) certification or obtain same within 3 months of hire date. This position is for 2 days per week; days are flexible. Must be able to relate to and counsel children when required. Responsibilities include; implementing a screening process of students, utilizing various agencies to provide resources for students, parents and the community for the prevention/ treatment of substance abuse. To increase awareness through educational programs. Position open until filled.
