Sr Network Engineer (Work from Home!)

Job Description:

 

Our client is looking for the right individual that can� do it all from soup to nuts�

This person will responsible for all phases of the clients network from securing quotations to purchasing to Installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of network equipment for a multi-protocol, multi-platform growing enterprise environment. Flexible work schedule allowing 1-2 days at the company’s office.

Must be available 1-2 weekends in peak season (summer).

 

Required Skills:5 plus years of experience as a systems administrator before specializing in networking is preferred.6-10+ Years Networking Experience. BS or EquivalentKnowledge of routing/transport protocols such as IPv4, ospf, bgp, hsrp, and ipsec. Experience should include routers, network switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN appliances, and sniffers.Knowledge in applications/protocols such as pop/imap, smtp, ftp, nfs, ssh, http/s, dns, etc.Implement and use network monitoring and discovery tools. Help identify and specify networking equipment. Knowledge of 3-tier web architectures.Experience with Cisco IOS & BigIP. Operational support for off hour’s issues will be necessary.Frequent work data center including cabling and racking of equipment, physical
layout of network equipment and cabling of various physical media (copper, fiber).Serve as liaison with equipment vendors and other third-party providers.Maintain and update documentation and asset information regularly.MS ViSIO Diagramming Skills.Experience with the following is a plus:
Disaster recovery.
SAN experience.
Network Monitoring (mrtg, cacti, netflow and netflow collectors)
Remote Access.
Unix / Windows System Admin skills.Excellent oral and written communication abilities
