Sr. Brand Manager of Marketing-Education (Tampa, FL)

A world leader in online, interactive professional education is looking for a Sr. Brand Manager of Marketing-Education at its headquarters in Tampa, FL.  The company's online education includes: web-based certificates; undergraduate/graduate degree programs from the nation's leading universities; continuing education for accountants, attorneys, physicians & nurses; and CPA Exam prep materials.

 

General Summary:

The Sr. Brand Manager reports to the Executive VP of Marketing & Sales and is responsible for the development and execution of all "marketing initiatives" for the education brand lines (or functional brand areas) across all sales and marketing channels to meet established annual sales and performance goals. The Sr. Brand Manager will work with the Business Unit Director to set business objectives, define key brand strategies and product positioning, manage allocated budgets, develop and execute marketing programs, oversee production of all marketing assets and coordinate the launch of new products In this capacity, the Sr. Brand Manager must collaborate with cross-functional teams and interface on a daily basis with Sales, Technology, Instructional Design, Finance/Administration, Marketing Services and University partners.

 Principal duties and responsibilities: Assist in the development of annual marketing plans and product positioning strategies. Manage all day-to-day marketing activities associated with product line.Responsible for development and execution of marketing/launch plans for specific product lines.Provide guidance to and execute Sales Training materials such as sales sheets, product reviews, sales scripts and customer service support.Conduct regular analysis and provide recommendations on brand performance in the areas of: sales, budgets, enrollments, customer satisfaction, demographics, response rates and other key business drivers.Regularly provide analysis on market trends and competitive products to provide input and guidance on product features, pricing & marketing strategies, gap analysis and product enhancement strategies.Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of all new courses and course upgrades. Provide forecasts for and ensure adequate inventories of all course materials and books.Manage all brand building and lead generating strategies and activities.  Provide appropriate direction and support to internal groups such as media buying (interactive & print), graphic design, copywriting, database marketing and corporate sales. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all projects.Ensure accuracy of all website content and update/maintain site(s) as appropriate.Develop and recommend product budgets; manage all marketing expenditures to keep projects within budgetary guidelines.Assist in preparation of brand reviews to internal management and sales presentations to major customers.Sales forecasts, pricing, contract negotiation and quota achievement. 15-20% regional/national travel.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:PREFER a minimum of 5 + years of relevant marketing work experience within the K-12 grades vertical education services market with experience marketing education to teachers, principals, and school administratiors OR 5+ years experience in "consumer goods marketing". Strong oral and written communication skills.  Excellent product marketing skills including the ability to create marketing plans, develop product positioning and provide business and competitive analysis.  Fiscally responsible.



Education Required:

Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing.  MBA preferred.
