Speech Language Pathologist (Full Time/ Unaccompanied)

Responsibilities:
Performs all duties required to provide speech/language services to the preschool, elementary school and junior/senior high school. Responsible for all aspects of the speech/language programs for all schools. Works under the direction of the superintendent through the child development cervices director and the school principals.

• Responsible for intake testing for articulation and language disorders.
• Prepares goals and objectives for students requiring services.
• Develops individual education plans for all students requiring services.
• Coordinates with other school personnel to assure all speech/language implications are understood.
• Meets regularly with parents to explain speech/language concerns with their students.
• Serves as a member of the child study committee for each of the schools.
• Maintains speech/language records for students.
• Provides remediate services to all identified students.
• Position is a 187 day contract with 180 teaching days and seven professional days.
• Position functions preschool through grade 12.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Mandatory:
• BA Degree in speech/language pathology
• Current certification as a speech/language pathologist.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a school speech/language pathologist
Preferred:
MS degree in speech/language pathology.

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation/criminal background check and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information as required for the position offered.

 

You and authorized dependents, if any, traveling to Kwajalein are required to have a valid passport in your possession prior to departure. You and your dependents must maintain a current passport during your stay on the island.
