Senior Project Manager - Hershey Medical Center
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for management of an assigned new construction project from initial planning through completion of construction for the Hershey Medical Center. The job will coordinate the activities of internal and external architectural and engineering resources and other professionals required for project development throughout the design and construction process. It will also determine and assign resources for project management; adjust the workload and oversee administrative support; develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure compliance with University, state and local ordinances. The job will work with the project's construction management firm when the project is approved for construction to develop and monitor schedules, prepare and implement site logistics plans, and coordinate the implementation of planned construction activities with subcontractors and owner personnel. The initial assignment will be to assist the Director of Design and Construction and the project team with planning the design and construction of components of the Children's Hospital Expansion project. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus five years of work-related experience. Professional licensure as an engineer or architect is preferred. Previous work experience with a hospital or health care facility is preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
