The Senior Security Analyst is a technical position with CSSD's IT Security Team requiring a significant knowledge and hands-on experience with computer security controls and procedures, including: computer forensics and incident response, host-based and network-based security monitoring and intrusion detection, vulnerability assessment and vulnerability management controls, secure management and analysis of system and audit logs from applications, servers, and network equipment, and encryption-based solutions, including IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, encrypted VLANs, and cryptorouters. Experience with developing and implementing security policies, procedures, guidelines and standards is required. A significant understanding of regulatory compliance requirements such as GLB, FERPA, HIPAA, and Sarbanes Oxley is also required. Experience with performing security reviews and audits is required. The Senior Security Analyst will be responsible for the development and implementation of security guidelines, security controls and security strategy for CSSD, and work closely with other CSSD departments, including Development Services, Network Engineering, and the University's Network Operations Center. Candidates must possess significant experience in IT security, risk management, regulatory compliance, and IT audit. This position may also include team leader responsibilities involving supervision of infrastructure security staff or project management leadership. A candidate for this position should have 8 years of experience, BS/BA degree preferred, and CISSP or other similar IT security certifications required. Forensic-related certifications are also preferred. The candidate for this position should be a recognized technical expert in the area of IT security, IT forensics, incident response, IT audit, and/or enterprise risk management. This position requires the candidate to possess project management and leadership experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to customer service. This position, like all IT Security Team personnel, are required to be available to respond to emergency security issues and incidents on a 24/7/365 basis. BS/BA degree preferred. CISSP, CISA, or CISM certification required. Minimum 8 years in information technology as well as security and/or IT audit.
