SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

The Academy System is a network of award-winning schools for court-adjudicated youth. Based in Western Pennyslvania and managed by leaders and innovators in the field of juvenile justice with over 30 years of experience, these schools are both community-based and residential, serving both local and out-of -state students. Teaching opportunities exist at the schools indicated below.

The Academy Sanction Unit School, located near the South Side, is seeking a teacher to join  our exceptional teaching staff to instuct students in the discipline of Special Education. This 12-month position offers competitive compensation and benefits package, which also includes complimentary meals.

The Summit Academy, our residential school for young men located approximately 35 minutes north of Highland park (Butler, pa) is also looking to add a Special Education teacher to their staff compliment.

While experience with emotional support is beneficial, the desire to motivate, teach and inspire our youth is a requirement. In addition, candidates must possess either a PA teaching certification or a four-year degree with at least 18 semester hours within the desired discipline and 6 semester credits in education.
