SLC Operations Coordinator
Franklin University is seeking an individual to be responsible for the overall front desk operations and supervision of five part time SLC Assistants and two work study student positions. In addition, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing customer service at the front desk, assisting students, faculty and staff. As a critical member of the department, the individual is expected to have a clear and demonstrated knowledge of the functional areas within the department and be able to make decisions in the absences of the coordinators in those areas.
The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, communication skills, organizational and computer skills. Strong time management skills are also desired. A Bachelor’s degree and experience with office management are required. The candidate must possess a strong customer-centered philosophy and develop an understanding of, and agreement with, Franklin’s relationship management principles and University values.
Duties include but are not limited to:Hiring, training and supervising of the five (5) part time SLC assistants & two (2) work study positionsInsuring a consistent flow of work at the SLC front desk Working daily at the SLC front deskPreparation of weekly and trimester schedules for SLC staff membersServing as the departmental liaison for multiple department including Marketing, Information Technology and Student ServicesMaintaining and updating all departmental marketing and website content Support and collaborate with the Director, Academic Support Coordinator, Testing and Learning Resources Coordinator and Testing Specialist regularly on projects and initiativesAssist in the coordination of SLC workshops. The support this position provides would include scheduling rooms, following up with presenters and preparing necessary materials for presentersPreparation and submission of staff time cards to payrollPreparation of statistical reports relating student use of SLC services to student successOther duties as assigned
This position requires working at least one night per week until 8:00 p.m. and a Saturday rotation.
