RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR

The Academy System is a network of award-winning schools for court-adjudicated youth. Based in Western Pennsylvania and managed by leaders and innovators in the field of juvenile justice with 30 years of experience, these schools are both community-based and residential.

The Academy is looking for motivated, loyal and hard-working individuals to counsel and serve as positive role models for students in our Sanction/Diagnostic Residential Program, Sleepy Hollow Residential Program and Day/Evening Treatment Program. Among other qualifications detailed below, candidates must possess and demonstrate confidence in their ability to influence and modify inappropriate behavior, as well as develop productive relationships with our youth.

This position works with our students in the areas of group and individual counseling, industrial trade training, academic tutoring and athletics during the hours of 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The starting salary for this position is $28,000, including an excellent benefits package offered after 3 months of employment. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but not required.  Child Abuse, Criminal History, FBI, Driver's License and Physical clearances required if employed.
