Project Manager, Web Communications

Responsible for managing design and development e-marketing projects for the Curriculum group, such as product tours, online promotional pages, e-marketing campaigns, micro sites. Manages requirements, project schedules and track progress. Works closely with production staff, MarCom, SalesCom and Campaign Management. Manages the design and production of discipline specific marketing online websites using internal and external resources; manages personnel, influences budgets; facilitates problem solving efforts; possesses an understanding of educational publishing and trends; has a high level of initiative and follow-through. Must have web/multimedia/online technical background and knowledge; has an understanding of website technical requirements and standards, information architecture, content management and programming needs; excellent organizational, time management, and communications skills, with a strong attention to detail. The Project Manager is a driver of web based design excellence and leadership and is also responsible for sensitizing, informing, training, and educating Curriculum associates about web and e-marketing processes and best practices.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Works with Campaign Managers in developing discipline specific tech marketing materials to drive sales of Curriculum products. The Project Manager gathers requirements, creates schedules and manages resources to develop these materials. This includes product tours, online promotional pages, e-marketing campaigns, etc. Manages discipline specific production staff'problem solving, prioritizing projects, initiating performance reviews and career planning. Establishes good working relationships with other departments including Campaign Management, Product Management, etc. Ensure global initiatives, strategies, processes and standards are upheld for consistency of message and experience for our users. Participates in status meetings and contributes to status reports. Monitors and meets project budget responsibilities. Related work experienceMinimum 4 years experience in one or more of the following areas: software development, web development, new media, multi-media design, information architecture, project management, marketing, or design, with at least 2 years in a project management role. Formal education or equivalentBachelor's degree in related technical field. SkillsExcellent visual/verbal communication, organizational and writing skills. Ability to develop and maintain schedules. Ability to present ideas, both of own work and other contributors; synthesize changes and present new work. OtherAbility to work in a high pressure, multiple deadline environment. Proactively works with internal group; interfaces with key stakeholders across business units; has a high level of initiative and follow-through.
