The national headquarters of CHARACTER COUNTS!, a program of the nonprofit, nonpartisan and nonsectarian Josephson Institute of Ethics, seeks an energetic, dynamic entry-level professional to:
·        serve as a frontline staff member to handle inquiries via phone and email from a nationwide client base of educators
·        convert program leads to activity;  includes booking training programs, increasing memberships, and stimulating product sales
·        outreach to prospective clients who have expressed interest in the CHARACTER COUNTS! program
·        consult with clients to offer assistance in the initial stages of implementation to ensure they achieve success with the program
·        collaborate on special internal projects

In addition to possessing a passion for making a difference and a commitment to the Institute’s mission, the ideal candidate will have:
·        Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in order to build successful internal and external relationships
·        Excellent phone manner to quickly engage a remote listener during outreach calls, and the ability to handle heavy phone work
·        Demonstrated written communication skills to compose professional correspondence and reports
·        Ability to handle multiple priorities and anticipate and adapt to change
·        Creative and analytical thinking skills to generate new ideas and devise systems and methods to increase efficiency and productivity
·        Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
·        Demonstrated initiative and project management experience
·        Resourcefulness to independently conduct research and problem-solve
·        Prior office experience and proficiency with MS Office, Internet research and an aptitude to learn other software applications
·        Prior sales experience preferred
·        Bachelor’s Degree
