Who We Are:StudyPoint ( http://www.StudyPoint.com) is a specialized educational services company providing one-to-one tutoring in the comfort of our students' homes. Our approach is built around providing a customized educational experience to meet the needs of students in both test preparation and academic subject tutoring.
We tutor students in all academic subjects (K-12), including math, science, English, social studies, foreign languages (Spanish, French, etc.), and study skills. We also tutor students in the SAT, ACT, and other standardized tests.
Who We Are Looking For:We are currently looking for motivated and passionate individuals who are interested in making a difference in the lives of students. You will tutor middle and high school students in academic subjects that match your strengths and experience. You can also tutor students who are preparing to take the SAT, ACT, or SAT subject tests. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to share your knowledge students, as well as serve as both a role model and mentor. We provide training for all SAT and ACT tutors.
REQUIREMENTS:Passion for educationBA/BS with a minimum GPA of 3.02 years teaching or tutoring experienceMust have access to a car and high-speed internetAbility to work a minimum of 8-10 hours per weekMinimum SAT score of 1300 (old format) or ACT composite of 28 (for Test Prep tutors ONLY)
A teaching certificate is NOT required, but certified teachers will start at a higher hourly rate.
We are looking for tutors who enjoy assisting students in the learning process and are seeking a rewarding and fulfilling work experience. Our most successful tutors possess superior communication skills, and are dynamic, professional, and enthusiastic about education. At StudyPoint, our tutors are the strength of our business; therefore, we are extremely selective in our screening process.
