PreSchool Teacher
The Nazareth Pre-School in Jamaica Plain is in need of a classroom teacher. As teacher candidate would work directly under a lead teacher, with duties including: supervision of students, written and oral communication with parents and lead teacher concerning student’s behavior and education goals, assist in curriculum planning and lesson preparation and supervision of classroom in lead teacher’s absence. Teacher should be physically able to interact with students and parents, lift students of up to 50 lbs and be able to evacuate classroom in the event of an emergency. Candidate must be OCCS certified and meet one of the following qualifications: a BA in early childhood Ed and 6 months experience, a BA in a related field with at least 2 early childhood courses and 1 year’s experience. AA in early childhood with a year experience, CDA in early childhood with 2 years experience, or a high school diploma with 3 courses in early childhood and at least 3 years experience would also be considered.
