Ph.D. Science Writer
The Rockefeller University, a world-renowned center for research and graduate education in the biomedical sciences, seeks a Ph.D. Science Writer to join Rockefeller University Press. Responsibilities include selecting items for news coverage and writing news material in the Journal of Cell Biology and/or Journal of Experimental Medicine, writing press releases, traveling to conferences, commissioning and editing commentaries, and coordinating production of news pages with the production offices. Ph.D. in the biological sciences required; journalistic writing experience and knowledge of cell biology, immunology, and infectious disease strongly preferred. Must be self-motivated, reliable, deadline oriented, and committed to science communication. This is an in-house position at the Press offices in New York City. We offer an excellent benefits package, tuition reimbursement and a competitive salary.
