We invite you to join the more than 41,000 professional employees who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children. Job Summary: High level of project management as relates to Oracle system – seeing through entire life cycle of system implementations.  Manage payroll systems and tax filings for multi-state, multi-business unit work environment.  Lead enterprise wide payroll related projects. Job Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Â· Work with Technical Team to develop solutions keeping in mind best practices· Possesses a strong understanding of the Oracle Payroll and OTL module· Able to support Payroll Processing start at OTL through the transfer to GL process· Experience working with Oracle Support, logging SR’s working SR’s understanding the escalation process· Ability to use Metalink effectively· Review Readme’s for upgrades and patches, evaluate new functionality and understand impact on current system· Implement changes and enhancements based on new functionality· Understand balance adjustments and Oracle Year-End Processing· Mentor and Train Support Staff· Able to multi task and prioritize work effectively· Develop clear communication plans to keep Payroll Management current on status of projects· Manage workload of projects amongst immediate team· Support the accurate and timely completion of weekly and bi-weekly payroll processes.· Develop strong internal controls for Systems · Assist in and provide resources for payroll account reconciliation as requested by Corporate Accounting department· Directly review, audit and control the flow of information to various areas as required including GL and Payroll interfaces, HR and Payroll interfaces, Tax and Payroll interfaces.· Oversee the testing and implementation of any software/hardware changes or upgrades.· Support enterprise wide payroll related projects· Develop written policies and procedures· Manage hiring, training, quality control and career development of all employees within the Payroll Systems Department· Other duties as assigned Adaptability Requirements: High-Position requires a high degree of adaptability.  Incumbent will be faced with a variety of issues on a day-to-day basis and will be expected to respond to these issues appropriately. Working Conditions: Deadline oriented function with overtime and/or travel necessary at times.  Incumbent will be required to proactively work out problems and implement solutions.  Work is primarily performed in an office environment.  Incumbent may be required to sit for long periods of time.  Incumbent will be required to talk on the telephone and use a computer. Experience and Education: - 2+ years of payroll experience required- 2+ years of managerial experience required- Experience in large scale multi-state, multi-unit environment- Experience in managing payroll systems projects- Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll regulations Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  - Oracle HRMS experience required- Experience using Mercury Test Director - Strong written and oral communication skills required- Must be able to manage multiple tasks- Must be able to work alone or with others- Analytical thinking required- Must be able to communicate and interact with all levels of staff and management   We offer a comprehensive benefits package, childcare discount and more!
