JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Teacher-P.E.
LOCATION: Noli Indian School
REPORTS TO: School Administrator/Principal
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time
SALARY: $ DOE
SUMMARY:
Provide instruction for all physical education classes from grades seven through twelve. Will perform coaching duties as assigned
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following:
v Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the girl's physical education program.
v Develop all physical education course objectives and daily lesson plans.
v Provide health, attitude, and learning needs of all students.
v Maintain and make requests for repairs to all equipment and facilities used.
v Reports all health and safety hazards to Tribal Administration.
v Oversee the physical education program in accordance with school standards and Tribal policies and procedures.
v Maintain inventory and surveillance of storage and in-use school equipment.
EDUCATION:
v BA/BS degree in Physical Education or a related field and possession of the appropriate California Teaching Credentials.
EXPERIENCE:
v 1-2 years experience physical education teaching experience and/or playing experience; good report writing and lesson development skills. Technical and personal· abilities will include planning and organizing events and programs, positive parent/staff interaction, and competent teaching/training techniques. Experience working with Native American students preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
v Successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and background clearance
v Strong organizational skills
v Ability to write lesson and training plans
v Computer literate in the Windows environment
v Background in sports and physical activities
v Strong interpersonal skills
REQUIRED
v A current California Drivers License or California Identification
