Nurse Educator ICU
Transitional Education Resource Specialist (Hospital Education) STICU
This is an Educator transition, we will train an ICU RN to become an educator. Master's preferred; if no Master's degree, client will pay for your masters thru tuition reimbursement, a day 1 benefit.
Founded in 1925, the client hospital Medical Center was the first hospital to open in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center . For nearly a century, the hospital has set new standards of care in Texas and the nation through advances in the practice of medicine.
Due to our continued growth and commitment to excellence we have several Nursing Educator opportunities available in the Medical ICU, CVICU, Pediatric ICU, Trauma ICU, and in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of clinical experience in the appropriate specialty area as it relates to the position. BSN is required; Masters degree or specialty certification preferred.

BASIC FUNCTION: Position responsible for developing, providing, and coordinating direct staff education, indirect patient education, orientation training, and development of curriculum and individual learning plans and monitoring staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing .
* Current state of TX license/permit to practice nursing.
* Master's Degree preferred.
* 3 years of clinical experience, including ICU/IMU as a Registered Nurse. * One year of education experience in a clinical setting.
* Clinical specialty certification ACLS, CVVHD, EKG is preferred.
