DeVry University seeks a New Student Program Coordinator for the Crystal City (Arlington, VA) Campus.
The New Student Program Coordinator assists new undergraduate applicants and students of DeVry University by working closely with multiple Admissions Representatives to provide onsite support to applicants to the school. Assisting student applicants from various locations, this position works as a liaison to ensure that their transition from applicant to student is completed effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Completes introduction calls to new applicants.
• Directly assists applicants to facilitate completion of placement evaluations and applications for financial aid.
• Reviews each applicant’s progress toward registration with Admissions Representatives; develops and completes follow-up action plans.
• Responds to applicant questions and concerns and develops effective solutions to help overcome obstacles.
• Develops and maintains rewarding relationships with applicants to create an environment which a healthy dialogue with the Coordinator is established.
• Participates in weekly with Assistant Director of Admissions to review progress on accountabilities and performance goals.
• Refers challenging applicant issues to the Assistant Director of Admissions for resolution.
• Adheres to laws and regulations governing student enrollment activities and the DeVry Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
• A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred for this position.
• A minimum of two years experience in sales and customer service is required.
• Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and internet applications is required.
• Strong organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• Must be able to effectively prioritize while working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
