This is a sales management position that also has some targeted sales responsibility. As a manager, the individual is responsible for leading & managing the sales professionals to meet or exceed their sales quotas. In a senior sales position this individual is a representative of Kaplan K12 Learning Services selling to school districts and other institutions that serve students and teachers in grades K -12.Region: NYC (5 Boroughs of NYC)Job ResponsibilitiesHire, manage and develop a group of sales professionalsProvide direct coaching to help sales professionals with their product knowledge, sales technique, time and territory management, and prioritizing opportunitiesSell and help others sell Kaplan K12 products and services to school districts and related institutionsCultivate and maintain relationships with district personnel to ensure a Kaplan partnership with that districtBe the strategic voice within your region with regards to conferences to attend, direct mail campaigns, teleselling support, and any other marketing activities.Represent Kaplan at regional trade shows and conferences to build brand awareness and qualify new sales leads for self and other Kaplan sales professionalsWork closely with consultants and lobbyists to promote Kaplans K12 business within the regionDeliver presentations and product demonstrations of Kaplan print and on-line offerings; model presentation techniques for sales professionalsWork closely with Implementation team and corporate staff to successfully close and begin service on new district programsTimely communication of sales forecasts each week to V.P. of Sales
How Success will be MeasuredAchieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas, as determined by the V.P.
