Multimedia Producer

West Virginia University is accepting applications for a Multimedia Producer in News & Information Services (NIS). The Multimedia Producer is responsible for producing a variety of cross-platform media projects, initiating innovative content delivery related to news events, and managing the unit’s web presence on a variety of internal and external sites.  This position is responsible for developing, managing, and producing multimedia products and content, including video, audio, photos, webcasts, podcasts and providing technical support for multi platform content. The producer is also responsible for growing the online audience by creating the most optimal online user experience related to the integration and presentation of multimedia content in support of NIS and the Division of University Advancement and Marketing.

 

Located in Morgantown, WV, WVU is a public, land-grant institution and a Carnegie Foundation "Research University," with 15 colleges and schools offering students 185 academic programs from which to choose.  The University enrolls around 28,000 students each year.  Morgantown is one of the most versatile towns on the East Coast. Minimum qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree (Broadcast Journalism, Communication, or Graphic Design preferred.  Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Management Information systems, Computer engineering, or other related fields will be considered) and at least 2 years experience in multimedia work.
