Microsoft Sharepoint Administrator

The Division of Information Technology at Florida International University is currently seeking a Microsoft SharePoint AdministratorResponsibilities include: • Function as the primary technical Sharepoint 2007 Administrator.• Provide support and coordinates the Sharepoint environment,  Active Directory, web servers, file servers, anti-virus servers, e-mail listservs, departmental servers and storage systems.• Research, recommend, plan and implement new server technologies for UTS. • Create programs to automate, tests or improve the Sharepoint and windows server environments. • Ensure that systems and data security requirements are met by adhering to security guidelines and processes. This includes: monitoring system logs, installing applicable patches in a timely manner, hardening servers and doing periodic vulnerability scans. • Provide support for FIU's Brocade Storage Area Network and FIU's IBM Enterprise Storage Systems. Minimum requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.  Desired qualifications:  • Experienced in Microsoft Sharepoint 2007 administration, development and troubleshooting. • Experienced with Microsoft Active Directory administration and troubleshooting. • Experience with Windows 2003 and 2000 server administration and troubleshooting. • Microsoft Sharepoint 2007 and Active Directory Training. • Must have good oral and written communication skills. • Ability to communicate technical information well, verbally and in writing. • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).  Salary Range:  $50,000 - $60,000 (Commensurate with experience.)For further information or to apply please visit our website at http://www.fiujobs.org and reference position # 44428FIU is an EE/EO/EA Employer & Institution
