Medical Assistant Instructor

Instruct students in subject matter relating to medical assisting, utilizing various methods, such as lecture and hands-on demonstration.  Retain Students at ATI minimum standards.  JOB SPECIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college is preferred. Minimum five years industry experience within past ten years is required. Must possess a RMA license.  Previous trade school experience is a plus. Good organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are also required. Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks, working under highly stressful situations, and handling frequent interruptions. Basic computer skills are required.   Seven Fundamentals of the Instructor’s Job   §  Class begins and ends on time. §  Absent students must be called by their instructor everyday. §  Every student Touches the Trade everyday. This means that every topic is linked to the job everyday. §  Every class begins with a preview of what students will learn that day. Every class ends with a cliffhanger. §  Students receive feedback about their progress at least once a week. §  All lessons are planned in advance. §  Teaching is not just lecturing; all students are fully engaged in every aspect of the lesson every day.   The Basic Instructor Training Checklist must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.Job Code : 193 Division/Department : Dallas - Stemmons - 57 Travel Required : None Skills : Health/Medical -> Engineering / Trade, Education / Training, Clinical Support, Acute Care, Accounting/Billing To learn more about our company, visit our website, www.aticareertraining.edu.
