Master Registrar

 San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants-McAllen (SACMDA), a Kaplan HigherEducation Campus, is currently seeking a Master Registrar. OVERVIEW: Responsible for all statistical analysis used for state, federal, accreditation and SACMDA College’s regulations.  Provide customer service for students, faculty, staff and external contacts and maintain student files in accordance with published directions.  Supervises two or more departmental personnel.   Primary Duties:§ Responsible for completing annual reports from state and national accreditation agencies§ Evaluates and assesses college transcripts for transfer credit§ Assist in completion of yearly reports for accrediting bodies§ Create grade reports in school software, distribute to appropriate personnel when needed§ Process student reenters and program changes as needed§ Administer student drops, track files  § Complete Military Tuition Assistance Applications for new and current students; assist students with VA questions or concerns§ Complete agency reports and track agency students for agencies, education and career services departments.§ Issue transcripts for our graduates§ Process all Student Status Change or Request forms (LOA, credits, charges, course repeats, etc.).§ Assist in development of monthly classroom assignments, and ensure all instructors are aware of assignments§ Responsible for oversight of production of quarterly/annual state, federal and accreditation reports§ Responsible for monthly Campus Security, Crime Log and Drug-Free campus reports§ Other duties as assigned by Executive Director Student records system  Update and maintain the status of every student Update and maintain proprietary information for each student (i.e. phone number, address, etc.) Update drop and graduation date information Maintain warning, probation, and suspension information Review transfer credit and complete student degree plans Monitor challenge exam completion and enter EC credit Maintain and update student graduation dates Release diplomas and awards if student records and finances are in good standing Grading system  Complete deferment forms and maintain accurate records Input final grades each term Scheduling and attendance system  Assist in the development of the quarterly schedule and registration activities Input schedule of classes into the computer each term Process student drops and maintain student attrition numbers   Knowledge, Skills, Ability and Education Requirements:§ Bachelor’s degree, or minimum 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.§ Demonstration of the highest level of integrity and intelligence§ Excellent oral and written communication skills§ Detail and multi-task oriented  § Ability to prioritize, and to complete work assignments with minimum supervision§ Exercise of Discretion and Independent Judgment§ Ability to work cooperatively with others and take directions are required for this position. Â§ Supervisory Responsibilities:§ Supervises two or more subordinates.  Qualified candidates are encouraged to send their resume to lventura@kaplan.edu
