Marketing Web Manager
School Specialty Science provides teachers with high-quality, preK-12 activity-based science and math curriculum, supplemental materials, and classroom resources that provide effective, engaging learning experiences for students. School Specialty Science is a division of School Specialty, Inc., and is comprised of four organizations with strong brand recognition in the educational marketplace: Delta Education, Frey Scientific, CPO Science, and Neo/SCI.
We are searching for a Web Manager for our Nashua, NH location. The successful candidate will manage Science’s websites, e-commerce, and associated Internet activities. This person will develop and implement web pages and applications that meet business requirements, and will work with marketing managers to define and implement online marketing initiatives. This position includes liaising with the parent company, particularly on e-commerce. While the position is broad-based, the two major focuses will be on ensuring our sites provide robust curriculum information and educator support, and on growing our e-commerce business.
Major Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the design and implementation of Science’s websites and associated Internet activities.
· Manage, update and maintain Science websites, including daily updates and generation of content and concepts using HTML, ASP, NET, CSS, JSP, FLASH, FTP, IIS, Oracle iStore, Oracle Content Manager, bMedia, Microsoft SQLServer, and/or Oracle database, or other programs as needed.
· Test websites for interface implementation, cross-browsing and configuration for optimal customer experience
· Identify and implement e-commerce activities
· Report on and analyze e-commerce growth, web site analytics, and other metrics, and suggest opportunities for improvements.
· Evaluate online marketing opportunities, including search engine optimization and relationship marketing programs, creating and deploying e-mail lists and customized customer group communication, and make recommendations.
· Analyze user request/comments, and forward as appropriate.
· Research/evaluate and prioritize new web software/technologies, make recommendations, and implement new technologies.
· Manage outside development and technology resources.
· In collaboration with Science marketing managers, managing ROI of all Internet activities.
· Create and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.
Successful candidate must have a BA in Information Systems or Marketing and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably Internet Marketing. Candidates must also have a demonstrated record of successful web initiates from both technical and marketing perspectives, excellent project definition and management skills, strong customer focus, knowledge of the sales process and effective online selling tools, and preferred experience with PreK-12 education market. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively.
