Manager Operations
Join Oakland University - University Technology Services -as the Manager for Operations. Manage activities relating to theoperation of the centralized data center and other related data centerfacilities. Responsible for physical configuration control and maximumutilization of floor space. Establish environmental controls for datacenter facilities in conjunction with Facilities Management.Responsible for 24x7 operations (with a 24x5 focus) and data centerdisaster recovery. Supervise staff.

MinimumQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ComputerScience or closely related field. Experience in data centeroperations. Experience with server and rack installation withfloor-plan management. Knowledge of HVAC, UPS, fire suppression andelectrical distribution relevant to a data center facility. Relevanttechnical certifications: A+, Network +, CCNA. Supervisory experiencein a union environment. Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to meetphysical work condition requirements: lifting equipment, such asloading servers into racks; climbing ladders; doing cable managementoverhead or under floors; working in a cool climate (65 degrees orwithin range) for extended periods of time. Willing to travel amongdata center locations and as needed by professional position.
