MARKETING MANAGER 

Childcraft Education Corp., a leading developer, marketer and supplier of early childhood educational materials for over 60 years and a member of the School Specialty family, is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our expanding team. 

 

We are seeking qualified candidates for our Product Marketing business unit to specifically focus in the Infant/Play product category within the early childhood education marketplace.  The incumbent will serve as the champion for the Infant/Play product category and lead a team to develop and drive product marketing plans and strategies that deliver on revenue goals.

 

Key duties for this role include:

 

·  Provide analysis and insight on positioning of competitors within the product category

·  Develop and implement a long term, strategic plan for the category

·  Select, lead and manage department staff

·  Develop national and regional growth processes for the category

·  Collaborate with Corporate marketing on researching and profiling customer's specific needs

·  Direct product managers in developing a comprehensive product line portfolio

 

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a background in early childhood education and meet the following requirements:

 

·  Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in education/business related field, or equivalent work experience

·  Experience in the category preferred

·  5 to 10 years business or education experience

·  Minimum ten years experience in education/product management/merchandising

·  Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

·  Strong strategic/analytic skills

·  Strong communication and presentation skills

·  Proven leadership and interpersonal skills

·  Ability to prioritize and multi-task
