MARKETING ANALYST (DATABASE)

This key analytic position offers a smart, detail-oriented professional the opportunity to build a reporting system, take our marketing database to the next level, and influence marketing strategy at a high level.

Responsibilities: You’ll interface with Marketing, IT and our Academic departments to provide input for strategic decisions including customer acquisition/retention, campaign and contact strategies, segmentation, and sales/ROI maximization. Build our reporting dashboard for web, email, ads, direct mail and catalogue results, and liaison with our database vendor, enforcing data hygiene/cleansing routines and troubleshooting our marketing database.

Qualifications: Requirements: Must be smart, willing to learn, and have a strong professional work ethic. You’ll need impeccable accuracy in writing, spelling, data entry, and proofing to present consistently error-free, reliable reports and analyses to the highest levels of executive management. You should be proficient in SPSS/SAS, SQL and other data mining/modeling tools; and know MS Office Suite and systems/servers/networks. You’ll need outstanding organizational skills to implement/maintain workflow systems and electronic files. And you’ll have experience with current best practices for modeling, data hygiene, NCOA and postal address updates, maintenance, security and performance standards. Preferred skills/background include: B.S. with emphasis in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Statistics and minimum 2 years of relevant work experience; plus experience in data modeling, database tuning, SQL queries, troubleshooting; regression analysis, CHAID, predictive modeling; calculating ROI, acquisition costs; analyzing campaigns/lists; Direct mail, banking, catalogue, credit card or predictive modeling industry experience a plus.
