Library Clerk

The Culinary Institute of America, the world’s premier culinary college is seeking a library clerk to perform of a variety of clerical/administrative duties associated with the operation of the video center.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

1.  Provide an orientation and supervise new student assistants.

 

2.  Assists patrons at the video center circulation desk.

 

3.  Keep video collection in good physical condition.

 

4.  Maintain acquisition statistics for the video collection.

 

5.  Send requests for repairs to video and PC equipment to the IT department using

 

6.  Processe new videos, DVDs and books; assign numbers to new videos and DVDs.

 

7.  Sort the mail.

 

8.  Mount displays of new book jackets on the main floor of the library.

 

9.  Maintain and update handout of new video titles.

 

10.  Cross-train at the library circulation desk.

 

General knowledge of Word/Excel.  Associates degree preferred.  Experience in library or educational setting helpful.
