Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts - Student Finance Representative Job Description GENERAL PURPOSE: To assist student applicants in applying for financial aid by making sure they have applied to all programs they are qualified for by collecting, data entry and processing student information to help award financial aid per regulations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Process, package, and award Title IV Aid to current and perspective students following accepted standards working with Federal Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans Work with proprietary software with regards to processing financial aid. Conduct financial aid overviews with perspective students to assist in the determination of eligibility and identifying information requirements set by Federal Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans, PLUS loans and Pell Grants. Maintain financial aid files following required organizational standards.QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS/ABILITIES: Detail orientation and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational, communications and customer service skills. Computer applications (Microsoft Office products) and ability to access information over the Internet. Must be able to work with detailed financial information as it relates to financial aid applications. Ability to work flexible hours. EXPERIENCE: Financial Aid experience plus at least three years of general administration or customer service experience, or one year of university administration experience. Experience performing financial transactions utilizing computer software. EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Sitting for excessive period of time. Daily use of computer, phone, and other office equipment. Lifting (max about 10 pounds), minimal reaching, bending and stooping.
