Lab Assistant

Everest University - Lakeland, Florida Meical Assisting Lab Assistant Requisition #:  08-0992 Under direct supervision of classroom instructor, set up lab procedures and activities and/or participates in the installation of equipment for specified classes or laboratory projects.  duties may include preparation of research/testing components, preparing speciments, media, equipment and computers, making chemical solutions, and cleaning up after labs, as appropriate to the specific position.  May assist students in lab activity, and may perform miscellaneous administrative duties.  Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, and ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Company, and/or regulatory agencies in compliance with policies, procedures and legal requirements. Follow detailed protocol, procedure, and instruction in the setting uup of lab experiments and lab activity Ensure proper materials are available and ready for each lab session, as required/directed Install and/or modify standard to moderately complex lab equipment; ensure proper operation of equipment, and report operating deficiency to supervisor Assist students in lab as appropriate; provide guidance in learning and/or functional operation of procedures and equipment Knowledge of the cleaning specifications of varous lab and/or medical equipment, fixtures, utensils, and related materials Clean lab facility and equuipment after lab exercises are complete; breakdown and store suuplies and equipment as appicable Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods Follow detailed protocol, procedure, in observing students practicing Massage Therapy techniques. Assist students in lab as appropriate; provide guidance in learning and/or functional operation of procedures.Requirements: A minimum of 2 years experience.
