We are currently seeking an Instructor for Information Technology at our Hoffman Estates, IL location to help our student's take their education to the next level. The Instructor's role is primarily to teach courses and work with Program Chairs, and Academic and support staff to ensure quality curriculum by participating in curriculum development and revisions, mentoring and assisting adjunct faculty, and fostering a student-centered environment. You will be responsible for teaching two labs or courses per session as assigned, suitably challenge, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning progress according to standard performance criteria, and develop and rewrite course content or redesign course format. The Instructor will also be team focused in the mentoring of select groups of new faculty and working very closely with adjunct faculty for curriculum content, instructional methods and scheduling. The chosen candidate will have a minimum of a Master's degree in the appropriate discipline; doctoral degree preferred, and documented expertise in academic subject area, Information Technology. The strongest candidate will preferably have prior facilitation/teaching experience in an online setting with adult learners. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent customer service skills, and an understanding of and appreciation for the for-profit education system are a must.
