Instructor (English) - Middle & High Schools, College Teachers

We are hiring middle school, high school, or college level English teachers to teach English and American culture to Chinese and Japanese students over the phone.

Job Description

You will follow lessons in textbooks provided. You are required to have a thorough understanding of the materials covered in the textbooks, and required to be ready to answer any question pertaining to the materials. On occasions, students may want to talk about arbitrary subjects to practice their speaking and listening skills, or ask you to review their essay.



Qualifications Native English speaker, or equivalent fluency and knowledge of the language. Ability to speak proper English clearly on the phone. The first hand knowledge of, and the ability to explain, the American culture, lifestyles, sense of value, and history. Ability to communicate with students in courteous, efficient and polite manners while keeping a professional attitude. 2+ years of English teaching experience at accredited schools required. Experience as an ESL teacher is a plus. Ability to understand Chinese or Japanese is NOT required, but a plus. Basic knowledge and ability to use a computer. Must have a working telephone at home. While you are free to go about your normal activities until the session begins, you must be able to devote 100% of your attention to the job during the session --- no exception.
