George Mason University, Physics and Astronomy Department invites applicants for an Information Technology Analyst.

Applicants should have knowledge of MS Windows, Mac OS X and Linux applications; familiarity with client server networking for lab computers and peripherals; and good customer skills. The successful candidate will provide full support for all Physics and Astronomy Department computing needs for teaching and research in Windows, Mac OS X and Linux environments. These needs include: maintenance of secure client server networking for lab computers and peripherals; troubleshooting hardware and software problems; providing help desk support for faculty and students; developing and maintaining, back up, recovery and restart procedures for all department computers; and ensuring that equipment is in adequate supply and working by scheduled deadlines.
