IT Mgr,Database Administration

Under general direction, this position has full technical knowledge to work on the most complex phases of database administration and manage all staff activities related to the administration of computerized databases.Requirements: A thorough knowledge and understanding of the technical environments as normally obtained through the completions of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.Must have sufficient educational background and/or experience to qualify incumbent to work on most phases of database administration. Four-six years of database management experience or experience in a related field is preferred.Experience supervising or leading other professional level IT staff is strongly preferred.Significant understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the database management field is required.Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above.Must posses the ability to communicate well with others, to perform work in a team environment, direct and act as a resource for less experienced network administrators and relay necessary information as appropriate.
